Did Allen Iverson QUIT on the SIXERS?

First thing first, Allen Iverson has been the "man" for the last decade. Coming out of his illustrious and unsettled path from VA than onto Georgetown. Iverson has always gone against the grain and mainstream expectations. Iverson's killer "crossover" was before it's time. He carried the legacy of the crossover from Tim Hardaway and "Palmed" his way to become an awesome scorer and an eventual Hall Fame career. Iverson simply changed the game! He changed rules, made Refs more vigilant of his handles. Jordan brought Hip Hop to the NBA and Iverson carried the torch. Iverson can play the one or two guard spot by his evident assist totals in recent years. People can point and quarrel about his shot selection. But, Iverson is a STRAIGHT UP baller.

Remember, he was the first player to leave the HOYAS'awesome disciplinarian coach John Thompson without graduating. John Thompson and the VA governor gave him his first bball opportunity, than Iverson seized his opportunity, and without looking back, went forward to change a mentality and the game. Thus far in his Hall Fame career, his career numbers speak for themselves.

28 points,6.14 Assists,3.9 rebs,Fg 42 %&FT 77.8%.

and your worried about PRACTICE!
PRACTICE!

He has sold as many game jerseys as anyone within the last decade. This fact has lined the New York league office's pockets and increasing their bottom line of global marketing projections. He sells out arenas across the country as a pivotal attendance draw. He has middle class and upper class American kids "corn rolling" their hair and wearing his jersey to bed at night, while maintaining his much valued street credibility. He decided on Reebok early in his career, their relationship seems to be fruitful as ever. He was one of the main reasons why Papa Stern sent the Sixers to Barcelona this summer. Iverson was treated like a rock star in Spain. Many people have benefited from the emergence of Allen Iverson over the years.

So did Iverson give up on the loyal and passionate town, we call Philly?

NO

While many detractors always comment on his "attitude" and "troubles" with the law in the past. Iverson left John Thompson and his boy/teammate Victor Paige (HOYAS SUPREME), and has grown over the last decade amongst our eyes into a MAN. Iverson will always have his detractors and haters because that it is usually the "penalty of Leadership is Jealousy"- Jay-Z. Iverson has won his MVP award, numerous all-star appearances and has definitely played INJURIED and represented the SIXERS community for years. Iverson has been loyal, passionate and a fierce competitor. Even Shaq called him the toughest player in the league. So now that he has proven his worth for a decade, I repeat 10 YEARS. Iverson is finally realizing that he has to take care of his family, endeavors and his goal of winning a championship before it is way too late.

The days of Stockton and Miller are over. Loyalty for one team is over.
Ask Steve Nash or Ben Wallace, free agency, money and self-interest governs the NBA landscape today.

The NBA is a Business.

Iverson's best team was the Larry Brown coached, Mutumbo, Aaron McKie, Eric Snow squad. So when quality players surrounded Iverson in their prime, with an excellent coach, he has proven that he can win in the league. He brought Philly to the promise land. He also stole a game in the championship from the Laker monster dynasty team. Lastly, Philly has been quietly and publicly shopping Iverson to buyers for at least two years. So now that Iverson is trying to control his own destiny. In some circles, He is being depicted as a selfish player that now puts "I" in team.

While I respect Maurice Cheeks' point guard game back in the day, he also seems like a very very decent man. But, He cannot coach. Look at Sammy Dalembert’s minutes when healthy over the last two years. Despite C-Webb requests, injuries have stolen his game over the last few years. Kyle Korver has improved from just a shooter recently. Igoudala has potential. But based on the talent, this team lacks a Strategy or a Vision. This current Philly team is not going to win a Championship for the faithful. So while Philly fans will be vex on his departure.

ALLEN IVERSON IS NOT TERRELL OWENS!

Sometimes in life, ALL GOOD THINGS AND BAD THINGS have to come to an END!

Philly has to move on...

There is NO QUIT in IVERSON.

BILLY KING and ownership should deal wisely,

Billy King should give a call to ROB BABCOCK and ask for 1 on 1 advice on
How to trade a disgruntled Superstar? Just Kidding!

Rob Babcock almost single handedly destroyed the Raptor franchise with his decisions?

So let's sit back objectively and see how this situation plays out? Remember

Iverson is Basketball Supreme
